at&t somehow think that lower-csae letters and a revamped logo that looks less like the Death Star will improve their customer facing facade.

at&t somehow manage to have spelling errors on their site dating back to 2001 - that's eight years ago people.

Coming in after GM on the Forbes 500 at number seven (I wonder what this list will look like next year...?) is the mammoth Michigan motor group - Ford Motor Company.

Now, I don't know if there's some hokey acceptable spelling for Environment that I'm not aware of - but it is cropping up A LOT.

So please let be the one to tell you all, "ENVIRONMENT HAS THREE N'S!".  Thank you.

So if GE is Generally Electric, that would mean that GM is Generally Stuffed.

Financial situation aside however, you won't find many errors on the face of the GM website.

That's because they are all sitting behind the images in black-hat SEO practices. In other words, intentionally spelling words wrong and hiding the text so that when butter-fingers do a search on the misspelled word, GM will still rank highly in the results.

Last I heard Google was penalising rankings for sites that used this method.

That didn't stop us from finding them though - and to rub it in, here are four errors for your enjoyment...

General Electric is generally electric - but that doesn't stop them from having an interest in pretty much every industry known to man (enough to put Richard Branson to great shame).

As we all know, however, the greater you spread yourself, the greater control you need. 

GE's control is somewhat (surprisingly) on track with only 132 possible errors (after filtering out the non-English languages).

On a self-humbling note, GE's contact form has an option for reporting broken links. It's good to know that even the giants are aware that they're not perfect.

From Human Energy to the much-less-creepy "Energy for tomorrow", ConocoPhillips actually does a pretty good job of keeping its nose clean when it comes to spelling errors.

That doesn't mean that they are perfect.

At least they didn't spell environmental wrong.
