Kroger is the second largest grocery retailer in the United States, by volume. They pride themselves on selling “afforable” food and supporting their “communites” through Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.
#22 on the 2009 Forbes 500 list, Kroger’s yearly revenue amounts to no less than 70.23 billion dollars. Undoubtedly, the 126-year-old company is doing something right. After all, "Right Store, Right Price,” they praise.
Wrong, however, is their website’s spelling of illnesses, the plural form of illness. For words ending in sh, ch, ss, x, and z, add “es”. Not s, and not an apostrophe. Try sounding out the word “illnesses” as it is appears on the Kroger website. Illness...s.
Sssssorry, but you sssssound like a sssssnake.
